MMU Website Maintenance and Service Update

Dear MMU Community,

MMU is carrying out maintenance and security-related work on its main website, mmu.edu.my. Since March 2026, the website has experienced ongoing cyberattack activity and surges in malicious traffic, affecting server stability and the reliability of access to some services.

To support the security and reliable operation of the website, the relevant technical teams are conducting a comprehensive review and remediation of the main website. The maintenance began on 10 September 2026. The duration has not yet been determined, and further information about service restoration will be shared through official announcements.

Possible Service Disruptions

While maintenance is in progress, users may experience:

  • Temporary inability to access the main website;
  • Slow page loading or connection timeouts;
  • Temporary disruption to some website functions;
  • Intermittent access interruptions related to ongoing malicious traffic, including potential DDoS activity.

These disruptions may occur while maintenance and security work is underway. Please avoid repeatedly refreshing the page or resubmitting requests when the website is temporarily unavailable, as repeated attempts may add unnecessary traffic to the system.

Updates and Assistance

Please refer to MMU’s official communication channels for confirmed updates about website availability and subsequent arrangements. Avoid relying on unverified information about restoration dates or alternative access details.
